Organic Greek Fir Honey
£11.49
A rare and distinguished honey, gathered from the untouched fir forests of Mount Agrafa in Greece. This is a honey of depth and complexity- naturally thick, with warm caramel-toffee notes finished with a lasting resinous flavour.
Unlike floral honeys, Fir honey is a honeydew variety, shaped by the forest rather than floral blossoms. The result is a darker, more mineral-rich expression with remarkable body and a lingering, refined finish.
Best enjoyed slowly - drizzled over warm bread, in yoghurt, or paired with nuts and oats to allow its character to unfold.
Benefits of Our Fir Honey:
- Honeydew origin, giving a naturally lower sugar profile than floral honey
- Naturally rich in polyphenols
- Contains naturally occurring antibacterial activity characteristic of raw honey
- Source of trace minerals including potassium, calcium, and magnesium
- Naturally contains enzymes present in raw, unprocessed honey
- Unheated and unblended, preserving its full natural complexity
